HOW TO GET OUT OF DEBT?

HOW TO GET OUT OF DEBT?
Debt does not just mean owing money, but it’s a spirit. Borrowing is good when it is for the acquisition of assets or for the generation of more money. But many in our society borrow for the acquisition of liabilities, simply because of covetousness or “I want to be like others-syndrome.” Listed below are some basic principles to get out of the spirit of debt?
§  Get connected with God and invite Him to help you.
§  List all your debts and have a clear total of what you owe.
§  Do not go deeper in debt or add to what you already have in 2 above.
§  Start reducing your debt no matter how small. Pay it off little, one by one, priority by priority.
§  Cut your expenses and avoid excesses.
§  Maintain a focus to staying out permanently.
§  Go for investment, and allow it pay for your needs.
§  Pray against the spirit debt all through the process and take dominion.

RESISTING PEER PRESSURE

HOW TO RESIST PEER PRESSURE
It’s natural to want to be accepted by others. Peer pressure play on that desire. Many of your peers would like to influence you to join them in activities like: drug abuse, sexual immorality, cultism, financial misappropriation, stealing, forgery, alcoholism etc.
Aaron was influenced and gave in to the pressure of the Israelites (Exo.32:1-4). Imagine somebody that confronted Pharaoh in his palace could give in to such pressure.
Loads of youths are influenced negatively because of Inferiority complex and low self esteem.
HOW?
  1. Anticipate pressures: by anticipating problems from your peers, it enables you to be prepared either to avoid it or confront it. for example, seeing groups of School mates who are involved in smoking, drinking of alcohol, and sex, by expecting that one day you will offered such presentations, it will enable you avoid or confront such challenges from them. Prov.22:3
  2. Think of its consequences: you may need to ask yourself questions like: ‘how will feel in the long run if I go with the crowd?’; ‘will I be fulfilling God’s standard?’; ‘how will my parents feel?’, these and many more are such questions. Heb.5:14.
  3. Make the right decision: everyone in life will have to make his/her decisions on what to do either right or wrong. Someone said; decision determines destiny. Whether you will join them or not you will have to make the decision yourself. Deu.32: 19.
  4. Make your position known to them or act wisely: you might think this hard for you to, but no! if you have already thought about it, made up your mind about it, it will not be difficult for you to make your stand clear. Prov.15:23.
Build your self esteem in Christ; it will save you most pressures in life. Thank you.

6 LAWS TO CREATE A DEFINITE FUTURE

“Every man’s future is ‘within’. It takes the application of definite laws to produce a definite future”-Scott Odigie
  1. The law of vision/imagination: As far as a man’s eyes can see, will determine his passion and investment into his assignment and purpose for his life. Gen.13:14-15. Vision: seeing all you could become.
  2. Law of strategic investment: What are you willing to sacrifice for your uncommon dream?. 1Kings19:20-21, 2Kings 3:11. This also defines setting ‘SMART’ goals.
  3.  Law of identification of opportunities: Great opportunities appear in disguise. They could be money, material assets, people, personality, gifts, and service/influence. Gen.11:1-5.
  4.  Law of transformation: God does not give finished products but raw materials. Whatever He gives has potential to become something great. Gen.2:1-25.
  5.  Law of focus: Focus describes possibility, positive thinking, ‘unconditioned’ by circumstances, asking proactivity questions etc.
  6. Law of accountability: God’s litmus test for greatness is not in abundance but accountability in little. Lk.16:10-12.     It is your season for a shift!
