MAKING DAILY IMPROVEMENTS
Making daily Improvements could be defined as becoming better every day deliberately and strategically. The Wisdom of God tells us that, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” Proverbs 4:18 (KJV). The most profound way to improve upon anything in life is to actually maintain it.
“No matter what the level of your ability, you have more potential than you can ever develop in a lifetime.”-James T. McKay.
Mediocrity is thinking that you have actually become your best. But you must understand that no matter where you are now, there is still an unimaginable extent and room for improvement. Irrespective of the level of accomplishment you have recorded in your finances, in your family, in your business, in your ministry, just to mention a few, there are still greater heights for you to attain, new grounds to break, new opportunities to make the most use of and abundant resources to leverage upon.
Average and common people are those who think that they have arrived at their destination. A wise man said, “Success is never ending.” It therefore means that success is a journey and not a destination you arrive at in life and in any field of endeavour.
If you could observe closely at the distinguishing components of developed and underdeveloped nations, you would discover that it is just in the difference of interpreting success as a journey and success as a destination respectively. This also applies to developed people and underdeveloped people. I declare, it is your season of outstanding success. See you at the top!

YOUR TRANSFORMATION; YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Rom.12:2 (NIV)
Every real transformation begins when a man accepts the responsibility of changing is ‘thoughts’. You will be the same person in the next ten years if your thoughts remain the same. You must understand that even your prayer life is as effective and proportional as your ‘thinking’ life. For instance, it would be impossible to be the Chief Executive Officer of a multinational corporation without taking the responsibility of transforming your ‘thoughts’.
You must understand that the transformation your mind is one of the marks of your faith in God. Any believer that does not change the way he or she thinks in line with the word of God, does not believe in God. That you are praying does not make you believe in God, because faith does not come by prayer, but by the Word of God.
The major reason why several believers are not different from unbelievers is because they are not changing in their ‘thoughts’. Within the context of this subject, changing your ‘thought’ is not about attending college. It is not about knowing how to read and write or having ‘common-sense knowledge’, but the change that comes when you allow your traditional beliefs, your cultural ideologies, your personal conclusions from life experiences and dreams to get transformed by the Word of God.
No man can be better than the way he or she thinks. It does not matter the number of years you have been in Christ, or have been a member of a church, until God’s word affects your mind positively, your life will not experience a positive turnaround. You must understand that your mind does not grow with your age if you don’t take responsibility.
God will not change your mind for you. It is not His responsibility; it is yours! Whatever any believer is trusting God for, has already been done in Christ, but would not become a reality unless it begins from the mind. Do you see divine health in your imagination? Do you see prosperity in your mind? Do you see a global business brand in your mind? Do you a great family in your mind?
If all you see in your mind is a sick person you cannot walk in divine health. If all you see is a poor man you cannot live in prosperity. If all you see is a mediocre, you cannot become a global phenomenon. If all you see is a home without bliss, you would perpetually struggle in it.
My encouragement to you this month is that you take responsibility for the transformation of your mind by the word of God. God bless you and see you at the top.

"MINDLESS CHRISTIANITY"
REFERENCE: Romans 8:1-6, Romans 13:11-14, Romans 12:1-2, Phil. 4:8
“Mindless Christianity” is the kind of Christianity based on the premise or practice of the law and not on the “transformation” of the mind of the spirit. Of a truth, any form of Christianity without the deliberate and decisive transformation of the mind of the spirit would produce babies.
No believer can become like Christ through the practice of rules and regulations of the law but by the change of the mind of the spirit. For instance no believer can actually stop fornicating or other manifestations of carnality until the mind of the spirit is transformed.
You don’t become the law you actually practice but become like Christ in what you predominantly think about.
“Mindless Christianity” is the kind of Christianity based on the observation of laws without the commensurate transformation from within. Loads of believers have practiced the observation of the Ten Commandments and it has not brought any meaningful change in their lives.
You can only become like Christ in the mind of your spirit; that is, when you start thinking like Christ, thereby producing the character and behaviour of Jesus. Any form of Christianity outside the transformation of the mind of the spirit would best produced carnality.
It must therefore dawn in our minds that God’s word is the “mind of God.” Therefore, if you want to become like Him, your predominant thoughts must be God’s word. The strength of the spirit is in the development of the mind of the spirit. Your spirit is incapacitated without the development of the mind of your spirit.
You cripple the effect of God’s nature in you without developing the mind of your spirit. Also, “mindless Christianity” is living by assumption to practicing the things of the spirit.
Becoming like Christ means living the life of Christ until it becomes visible for others to recognize and value. It does not mean you don’t have God’s life in you, but you have not given the mind of your spirit to the required transformation.
CONSEQUENCES
SELF-CONTRADICTION: This is another word for hypocrisy. It means behaving who you are not. It also means living without a balance or living on double standard. If the mind of your spirit is not transformed self-contradiction becomes your lot. This also means living without integrity; compromising God’s standard in different spheres of life.
INSENSITIVITY: This is the inability to discern times and changing seasons in life and destiny. An insensitive believer cannot be led, guided and mentored by the Spirit of God. Therefore, the believer falls prey to the enemy and may live perpetually in captivity.
SIN-COLONIZATION: Without the transformation of the mind the life of a man is kept under the dominion of sin and filled with all manner of darkness. Every believer has the potential power to dominate the expression carnality but would be incapacitated without the transformation of the mind.
DORMANCY: This is the inability to explore the fruit and the power of the Spirit. You must understand that in you is the fruit and capacity of the Spirit.
STUNTEDNESS: This is placing a limit to the experience a believer could have with God in increasing dimensions. It takes experiencing God to enter into new opportunities, to break new grounds in marriage, in business, and in all other areas of life.
Till I come your way again, pay attention to your thoughts and your destiny will take a drastic turn in Jesus name. God bless you.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE Emotional intelligence (EI) or emotional quotient (EQ) is the capacity of individuals to recognize their own, and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behaviour. EI is the ability to recognize your emotions, understand what they're telling you, and realize how your emotions affect people around you. It also involves your perception of others: when you understand how they feel, this allows you to manage relationships more effectively. People with high EI are usually successful in most things they do. Why? Because they're the ones that others want on their team
COMPONENTS OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
1. Self-Awareness: People with high EI are usually very self-aware. They understand their emotions, and because of this, they don't let their feelings rule them. They're confident – because they trust their intuition and don't let their emotions get out of control. They're also willing to take an honest look at themselves. They know their strengths and weaknesses, and they work on these areas so they can perform better. Many people believe that this self-awareness is the most important part of EI.
2. Self-Mastery: This is the ability to control emotions and impulses. People who self-regulate typically don't allow themselves to become too angry or jealous, and they don't make impulsive, careless decisions. They think before they act. Characteristics of self-regulation are thoughtfulness, comfort with change, integrity, and the ability to say no.
3. Self-Motivation: People with a high degree of EI are usually motivated. They're willing to defer immediate results for long-term success. They're highly productive, love a challenge, and are very effective in whatever they do.
4. Empathy: This is perhaps the second- most important element of EI. Empathy is the ability to identify with and understand the wants, needs, and viewpoints of those around you. People with empathy are good at recognizing the feelings of others, even when those feelings may not be obvious. As a result, empathetic people are usually excellent at managing relationships, listening, and relating to others. They avoid stereotyping and judging too quickly, and they live their lives in a very open, honest way.
5. Social Skills: It's usually easy to talk to and like people with good social skills, another sign of high EI. Those with strong social skills are typically team players. Rather than focus on their own success first, they help others develop and shine. They can manage disputes, are excellent communicators, and are masters at building and maintaining relationships. As you've probably determined, EI can be a key to success in your life – especially in your career. The ability to manage people and relationships is very important in all leaders, so developing and using your EI can be a good way to show others the leader inside of you.
WHY THE NEED?
1. We are in a relationship age, people need intelligent synergistic network to build and leverage relationships- an increasingly more important competence than analytical and technical competence.
2. The mastery and control of our emotions is difficult for people all over the world.
3. Leaders need a synergistic portfolio of orchestrated intelligences to lead people- teams and organization.
“WHO” states, “The decline in the ability to control passions and emotions for the common good, rather than for self interest, has caused the destruction of peace in individuals, families, communities, countries and the whole world.”
BENEFIT OF LEARNING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
1. It is equally as important as intellectual and technical expertise for high performance.
2. It is more difficult to acquire than analytical and technical skills.
3. It is more increasingly tested in recruitment and performance appraisal at all levels in both private and public sectors.
4. It is more important in considering promotion at middle or top levels.
5. It is a fundamental quality/skill for marketability in the future.
PAINS OF EMOTIONALLY UNINTELLIGENT PEOPLE
1. They have family and work problems regularly.
2. Get passed over for promotions often.
3. Have to change job frequently.
4. Cause personal emotional disturbance.
5. Constant conflicts with colleagues and subordinates.
6. Find it difficult to lead diversities, students, and difficult people.
7. Cause trouble in communities’ social group and organization.
8. Make bad choices and destroy marriage and family.
CONCLUSION: Become intelligent emotionally and increase your chances of outstanding success in life, family, career, business and ministry.
